April at the Goodwood circuit is Members Meet.
This is the 83rd year that racing enthusiasts converge on the circuit to soak up the atmosphere, the all-areas access and fill their lungs with the fuel ladened air whilst their ears are bombarded by the noise of the engines.
What is not to love.
The REDS
Catching they eye, the colour of speed.
Whether it is a flash of read in the paddocks, a badge or the streak of red as it races towards the finish, the colour evokes emotions.
The BLUES
Cool as a cucumber, and racing as they intended the classic Blue Bugatti’s roared past the start.
The BRONZES
Before the era of computers, the mechanical details mattered. Hand crafted, each part with a purpose and keeping the vehicle on the track and moving quickly.
The WHITES
The marshals gather to set up for the day as the low morning sun filters into the pit lane. There is a brief window of quiet before engines start reving.
From mushrooms at the vegetable stand, to Alien experiments, the set dressing is superb.
The roar of the GT40 can be heard across the paddock, screaming down the finish straight.
